Good security works like a set of concentric circles. At the center are the things you need to protect: your data, your operations and your customers’ trust. Around them we build rings of technology and everyday behavior. Each ring catches what the one outside it missed.
Why layers matter
No single product stops every threat. Firewalls get bypassed, passwords get stolen, and a convincing email can fool anyone on a busy day. A layered system assumes one ring will eventually fail and makes sure another is waiting behind it. An attacker has to beat every layer to reach what matters, while you only need one layer to stop them.
Technology is only half of it. People and habits form a ring too, and often the one attackers test first. The strongest designs combine the right tools with clear policies and good daily practices.
The rings we build, from the outside in
- The perimeter. Next-generation firewalls from Cisco Meraki, Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks filter what enters and leaves each site.
- The web and the inbox. Cisco Umbrella DNS-layer security blocks malicious sites before a connection is made, and email security filters phishing, malware and spoofed messages before they reach users.
- Identity and access. Cisco Duo multi-factor authentication makes sure a stolen password alone is not enough to get in.
- The internal network. Segmentation keeps guests, cameras, payment systems and staff traffic apart, so a problem in one area cannot spread freely. Secure wireless and switching from Cisco Meraki, HPE and Aruba enforce those boundaries.
- People and behavior. Clear access policies and habits such as using multi-factor authentication, thinking twice before clicking a link and reporting anything unusual.
- Watching every ring. Ongoing monitoring, policy reviews, firmware updates and alert follow-up keep each layer current as threats change.
Why Hydrasat
- Experience that sticks. Decades of designing, installing and running networks for businesses that need them to stay up — including remote and industrial environments.
- Engineers, not scripts. You work with people who know Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HPE and Aruba gear, cabling and security — not a call center reading a checklist.
- Around-the-clock operations. Network operations and security operations support so someone can pick up the thread days, nights and weekends.
- Cisco Partner, multi-vendor experience. We sell, design and support Cisco and Cisco Meraki solutions as a Cisco Partner, and we work across Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HPE and Aruba too, with licensing and renewals handled in the same conversation.
- Clear next step. Start with a complimentary network assessment when you want guidance before you spend.
Why Hydrasat for layered security. The same engineers who design your network secure it, so each ring is built to fit with the others instead of working against them.
About our team
Hydrasat is a Cisco Partner with offices and people in the New Orleans area (Covington), Houston, Detroit / Novi, and Singapore. We grew up supporting networks that cannot wait until Monday morning — starting with offshore and land oil & gas communications, and carrying that same around-the-clock mindset into the networks we design and support today.
Our engineers work with Cisco and Cisco Meraki every day, including Cisco Duo multi-factor authentication, Cisco Umbrella DNS security and email security, along with Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HPE, Aruba and other leading security and networking platforms we are trained and certified on as vendors require. They are employees on our team — not a revolving third-party helpdesk. With overnight coverage from Asia during U.S. nights and daytime engineers in the States, we aim for consistent support whenever something breaks.
What that looks like in practice
- Experienced network and security engineers who design, install and troubleshoot for a living
- Network operations and security operations support so issues can be watched and worked around the clock
- A complimentary network assessment when you want a clear picture before you buy or rebuild
- Straight talk: if the honest answer is that you do not need new hardware, we will say so
These services focus on network, security, wireless, cabling and related infrastructure. They do not include general server administration, end-user helpdesk, or endpoint troubleshooting unless agreed in writing for a specific engagement.
